Georgian Quality Foundation awarded four Georgian companies

The Georgian Quality Foundation hosted International Quality Day at the Tsiskvili restaurant this week. Since 1989, International Quality Day has been celebrated as an initiative of the European Quality Organization, American Quality Society and Japanese Quality Organization.
During the event, Georgian Quality Foundation signed a partnership memorandum with the Georgia Today and Prime Time newspapers.
“With such events, we have an opportunity to encourage the strength of companies where success is dependent on quality,” Georgian Quality FoundationPresident Grigol Kunchulia told Georgia Today.
According to Kunchulia, the word “quality” is everywhere “in every aspect of life.”
The event aimed to raise interest among society regarding high quality production and service.
The Georgian Quality Foundation awarded four Georgian companies working in different spheres; Chaimania has operated on the local trade market three years, producing tea and tea accessories; Saqkabeli restored a cable-producing factory in Zestaponi, and purchased German equipment to produce steel and iron; Tkbili Kvekana offers a series of healthy children’s cookies; and the Tsiskvili restaurant.
European Quality Week is held in every member country during the second week of November. The week aims to increase the level of quality awareness among the general public and support successful companies to maintain quality in a competitive environment.
“The partnership memorandum is a logical continuation of the long-term cooperation between Georgia Today and the Georgian Quality Foundation,” Georgia Today General Manager George Sharashidze said. “After signing the agreement Georgia Today will more actively cover the efforts of quality-mark owner companies. This will be a stimulus for other companies to ensure high quality production and services for their clients.”
According to Kunchulia, the memorandum is a “very important document.”
“We think society should participate in particular processes, which are available with the help of the press,” added Kunchulia.
The Georgian Quality Foundation’s main goals are to implement a modern quality management system in industry, and successful trade and services.
